Marion Dillon County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs accepts applications Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at both the Marion Center, located at 306 Martin Luther King Drive, and at the Dillon Center, located at 1219 Hwy. 34 West. Applications may be picked up from either location or downloaded from the link above. We are currently accepting applications for full-time employment, permanent part-time and temporary employment. Applications may be dropped off at either center or mailed to Marion Dillon County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, Attention: Human Resources, Post Office Box 1082, Marion, South Carolina 29571.
*ESA/Grounds and Maintenance Specialist*
Under the direct supervision of the Activity Center Director, plans and implements Adult Habilitation Training for the Mentally Disabled Adult Clients. Schedules and implements yard maintenance with assigned consumers. Specific duties will include but not be limited to providing instructions to individual clients and group of consumers to achieve instructional objectives, maintain client accountability, and transport consumers to and from program sites as designated by the Activity Center Director.
Minimum Training and Experience: Knowledge of lawn equipment and maintenance needed. High School Diploma and (1) year experience working with Mentally and Physically Disabled Individuals with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written is required. Drug Screening, SLED/FBI Record Check and Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Check, and Valid Driver’s License Required.
Full-Time; Pay Band 2; Non-exempt
