Marion Dillon County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs accepts applications Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at both the Marion Center, located at 306 Martin Luther King Drive, and at the Dillon Center, located at 1219 Hwy. 34 West. Applications may be picked up from either location or downloaded from the link above. We are currently accepting applications for full-time employment, permanent part-time and temporary employment.  Applications may be dropped off at either center or mailed to Marion Dillon County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, Attention: Human Resources, Post Office Box 1082, Marion, South Carolina 29571.

Job Vacancy for Training/ HR Coordinator in Marion, SC

JOB TITLE: Training/ HR Coordinator
SUPERVISOR: HR ADMINISTRATOR
EMPLOYEE STATUS NON-EXEMPT
SALARY RANGE: BAND 4

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, assists with the development and implementation of the training program for Marion-Dillon County Board of DSN. Assists and performs HR duties as assigned.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, and Social Work, Political Science or other closely related degree required. Experience with staff development/training or professional human services experience required. Must have excellent communication and documentation skills. Valid Driver’s License from current state of residency.
Drug Screening, SLED/FBI Record Check and Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Check, and Valid Driver’s License Required. NOTE: CURRENTLY ON FILE WILL NOT HAVE TO BE UPDATED.

House Manager – Marion County – Under the direct supervision of the Residential Administrator, directs the overall service system for Two (2) CTH-II Houses serving a total of eight (8) consumers with Disabilities and Special Needs. 

Responsibilities will include: Supervising Disabilities Specialist-A staff in providing twenty-four hour care for adults served.  Will assume Budgetary and training responsibilities, ensures the implementation of Person Centered Plans.  Schedules activities throughout the week and weekend.  Must be able to flex working hours to ensure supervision of all shifts.

Minimum Requirements: A High School Diploma with at least three years’ experience working with disabilities, prefer individual with Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Special Education or closely related degree in the field of Disabilities/Human Services.  Valid Driver’s License, Drug Screening, SLED and Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Check.

Full-Time; Pay Band 3; Exempt Employee

CLOSING DATE FOR POSITION: October 08, 2021

Disabilities Specialist-A – Under the Direct Supervision from the House Manager, is responsible for the care, well-being and training of individuals with Disabilities and Special Needs.  Duties are semi-routine, requiring judgement within guidelines of MDCBDSN.

Full-Time; $13.00 per hour


LPN (Marion County) -Under the Direct Supervision of the Residential Administrator, coordinates all of the medical/nursing services within the CTH-II Units and Day Programs. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to knowledge of Federal, State, and/or facility regulations pertaining to the medical/nursing aspects of an intermediate care facility.  Will ensure quality nursing care to all consumers we serve.  Will respond to emergency calls on a 24 hour basis.

Minimum Training and Experience:  Completion of an accredited School of Nursing.  Current RN or LPN License with the South Carolina State Board of Nursing. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Nursing Field preferred.  Drug Screening, SLED/FBI Record Check and Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Check, and Valid Driver’s License Required.

Full-Time; $38,000- $43,000 per year based on experience and qualifications
